Those levels are actually based off of the levels from a Portal flash game, which I have fond memories of playing during my middle and high school days. Portal: Still Alive is a port of the original Portal game for Xbox 360, featuring the full game and a number of additional levels. Rivals of Aether has always come across as a Smash Bros.-like to me and having not played it or its flash game predecessor, I'm quite looking forward to trying it out.

It's a slight surprise to me that EA would offer one of their sports titles as a free offering I'd assume EA would want to move their EA Access plan to consumers, but the news should still be good for hockey fans on the Xbox. At the same time, Xbox 360 owners can download Portal: Still Alive and Earth Defense Force 2017, though both titles will be backward compatible on Xbox One, as all Games With Gold are. On the Xbox One side, console owners will be able to play NHL 19 and Rivals of Aether in June.

Microsoft's initiative to bring free games to Xbox owners every month is like giving us twelve mini-Christmases every year, and the Xbox team has revealed their newest presents.
